Welcome to My New Website

Wow! That’s what I have to say about this website. The number of hours I’ve put into this over the past few weeks is scary, which makes it all the much sweeter to finally reveal it!

As most of you reading know, I started my original website last summer on a whim. I was secretly pursuing photography and decided to finally put it all out there. What started out as a journal chronicling my lessons learned, passion for photography, and general insecurities has morphed along the way into an actual professional photographer’s website. Me, a professional photographer? Wow! I’m so excited to be starting this new endeavor!

So take a look around and let me know what you think! Don’t worry, all the old content is still there. I still have a bit of tweaking to do and the addition of more content and information for clients, but I couldn’t wait any longer to reveal it.

Enjoy!

Pricing is Posted!

I never imagined that figuring out pricing would be so difficult. I did a lot of research and had to really ask myself what my time and talent is worth. For those trying to do the same, I highly recommend reading Stacy Reeve’s “Photographer’s Pricing Guide”. It took me a bit of time, but I’m happy to announce that my pricing is up, and I’m booking sessions for March 1st onward.

And even more exciting, my session fee is half off for sessions scheduled to take place before June 1st!

{Chicago Newborn Photography}: Stella

This little girl makes my heart melt. Not only is she just about the cutest newborn ever, but she also happens to be my niece, the first grandchild for my parents. You may remember her beautiful mom Jessica from her Maternity Shoot a couple weeks back. I was so thrilled that Jess allowed me to photograph Stella when she was just 7 days old this past Sunday. It was my first newborn shoot, and I don’t think it could have gone any better. I learned a lot about patience and Stella even reminded me that babies without diapers can be a dangerous thing (thanks for that Stella).

So, without further ado, take a look at some of my favorites from our shoot…
